Our Christmas Facade

It’s good to be back online!  Yesterday, our internet and cable were out due to high winds hence no post on Thursday.  Today, I’m sharing our Christmas facade.  I love decorating the outside of our home for any holiday.  During the Christmas season, I enjoy a “natural” look.  I was especially inspired by nature during Thanksgiving at the cabin.  I felt like a little girl gathering seashells at the beach as I hunted for pinecones, moss, and lichen covered branches.  And much to my amazement, I found mushrooms too…

The “Jana Hunter Interiors green” is evident throughout our Christmas decor…the Christmas wreaths on each window, the green apples surrounding the base of  the boxwoods, and the lovely light green cone shaped evergreens found at Botanica Gardens!

Love the texture and color of this evergreen!

The ornamental kale is from our Thanksgiving decor!  The “JHI green” pinecones are used differently each year!

LOVE these mushrooms and the moss covered tree bark!

The lichen covered branches and moss is a great touch!

The green apples, Christmas greenery, and berries at the base of each boxwood adds another layer of green!

I added these metal green urns to the porch raising the boxwoods up just a bit!

The wave pansies are doing well!  (Still looks like fall with the leaves…and today is the first day of winter!)

The grapevine topiaries are now wrapped with white lights and Christmas evergreen!

Simple evergreen drapes above the front doors with white lights, of course!  The long tails of organza ribbon in green, cream, and gold were added this year!

All of the windows across the front are graced by these wreaths!

The benches have been angled to add dimension to the front porch!  The green pillows add another punch of green!

And as the kids are singing around the house, “Have a holly jolly Christmas, it’s the best time of the year!”

Enjoy the day and happy weekend!
