Black furniture with gold accents is a stately combination. Any object with these two colors is friendly in most settings. The darker color weights the room, and the gold punctuates the details using a hint of shimmer. Touches of black and gold can be found throughout the living room…
This cane back black painted arm chair was a gift from my Thea Helen. (Thea Mary‘s sister and my Yaya’s dear friend!) It was given to me after she passed away. I cherish this gift, and use it daily at my desk.
I love its scratches and original fabric…I just can’t seem to recover it just yet!
My friend, Jacqueline, and I each made a monkey needlepoint pillow. The black background sets off the colors, and the gold trim frames the pillow!
I found these hand painted black and gold wall sconces at an estate sale. There were a total of 8!!! One day I can envision them all in a grouping. For now, I’m using them in pairs!
A grouping of four bird prints framed in black and gold frames hang above the sofa!
One of my favorite details is this black and hand painted gold vase which houses the succulent on my desk.
And I love, love these black and gold bee ottomans sitting underneath the entry table!
I love the simple yet intricate design! The gold accents help bring the black to life!
Do you decorate with black and gold?
Enjoy the day!
