It’s a yearly tradition for our family to venture downtown to the Arkansas Flower and Garden Show. This tradition began due to Mother’s involvement in the show. She’s chaired this statewide event and was the Flower Show Chairman another. Elizabeth has attended since she was a baby and has “grown” very fond of this show. It’s one of her favorite times of the year…
Loved the theme this year!
Mother won many ribbons, mainly blue, in the horticulture division!
Mother has definitely been a true gardening inspiration to both Elizabeth and me!
She also won the blue in the Miniature Flower Arrangement category!
Here are some examples of other flower arrangements…
Such artful arrangements!
Upon entering the show, you were welcomed by color, color, and more color!
Mother saw friend and garden guru, P. Allen Smith, at the show. He was a keynote speaker!
I adored this garden from Roseberry Landscape! The pop of yellow is fabulous!
The yellow transitioned into the patio area as well!
And hello Botanica Gardens! Once again, Chris Olsen amazes us!!!
Mother and I literally walked around his garden with our mouths touching the floor!
Genius! A wine bottle privacy wall! Chris says many of his ideas are put to paper during flights!
We love our Chris!
Shopping is a must at the show too…here is Botanica’s booth!
Fun and colorful items could be found in other booths as well!
This patchwork chair and ottoman is so unique!
But for Elizabeth, the highlight of the show is the Frozen Honey Drink…it is a delightful treat!
If you’ve never attended the Arkansas Flower and Garden Show, it’s a great opportunity to visit, be inspired, and enjoy the wonderful season that is almost here…Spring! The show is always the last weekend in February!
Are you ready to put on your gardening gloves? I know I am!
Enjoy the day!
