April Culinary Club

What a wonderful time we had at Colleen’s home for Culinary Club last Sunday!  Her patio, garden, and of course, the food was a true treat!  I absorbed all of the details…

As I walked down the steps to her lovely patio, a complete wave of relaxation came over me!

Her centerpiece was lovely, and the California Dip is a keeper!

And we can’t forget the Porch Punch…aka Amaretto Slush!

Colleen is truly one of the most thoughtful people I know!  How precious are her favors!  She found the cookbook page flags and added the yellow grosgrain ribbon and wax stamp herself!!!!  And I adore her Ball jars wrapped in twine; she placed tea lights inside!  Details!!!

It was the perfect setting!

After enjoying the appetizer and cocktail outside, we came inside to this lovely table waiting for us!

Details!

Beth helped Colleen plate the food!

Beth made this Roasted Rhubarb Salad or should we say Roasted PEAR Salad!  Beth learned that our local grocer only sells rhubarb every other Friday.  She was out of luck when she went, so she opted for pear instead.  The roasted pear was a great addition!  Way to go Beth!

Diane made the wonderful Risotto with Peas, and Colleen’s entree’ was Halibut with Apricot Sauce!

For dessert, I made this Pink Lemonade Layer Cake…moist, sweet, and tangy!

You just can’t get enough of great conversation with fabulous friends!  Thank you Colleen for hosting!  Until May…

Have you been cooking up anything special?

Enjoy the day and weekend!

P.S.  I look forward to sharing some BIG news on Monday with you!!!
