Yesterday, we paused to thank the individuals who currently serve our country, have served our country, and most of all to think of those who sacrificed their lives for our country! For us, it was a family day, and we thanked Handyman Husband, who served in the United States Air Force for 23 years…
We enjoyed a picnic and play time at Pinnacle Mountain State Park…
We did a little bit of this…
And a whole lot of this…just kidding!!!
We admired the natural beauty of our state (Arkansas is known as The Natural State)!
And the highlight of our day…the First Baptist Church here in Little Rock honors our veterans twice a year with these American flags lined up around their property! For Handyman Husband’s birthday this year, we honored him with a flag! This Memorial Day was the first time it flew!!!
Thank you to all of the men and women who are serving and have served this wonderful country!!!
Enjoy the day!

Oh, that park looks wonderful. I miss the mountains so very much. I currently live in Dallas, TX and although there are mountains in Texas there are not any in Dallas. The park looks wonderful and it looks like you all had a wonderful holiday. Honoring your husband who spent all those years in the military seems like a fitting gift for his birthday.
I didn’t know Mark had a flag. AWESOME GIFT! We’ll go see it on Vet’s day! Always grateful for those who have served for my freedoms.
Yes, it was pretty great seeing his flag fly for the first time!
