Client Project: Master Bath

A master bath, like the master bedroom, should be a tranquil space!  A space for relaxation and above all a sanctuary!  My clients are both professionals with two very busy schedules.  At the start or end of a day, they both need a place to relax and breathe.  They live in a wonderful, older home with lots of character and charm.  The goal of this project was to not only honor the home’s historical value, but to create a classy space reflecting my clients’ personalities as well.  They love to travel, so a simple yet spiffy hotel like oasis it is…

IMG_4456Although a rather small space, the color palette of crisp white, pale blue, along with black and chrome accents gives this space a much larger feel!

IMG_4488The window allows the beautiful sunlight to filter in (this particular day was rainy)!  Their view is delightful, but privacy was a must!  This custom Roman shade with this fabulous Greek key trim sets off the window but doesn’t necessarily make it the “chief” in the room!

The window moldings are fantastic…and this chrome beaded pull chain makes for easy use of raising or lowering the Roman shade!

IMG_4485

The door moldings reflect the window moldings!

IMG_4551

The black and white diamond floor pattern was designed to add a touch of black without  a “polka dot” feel.  The use of small hexagon tiles reflect the home’s age!

IMG_4494

The gray grout truly compliments the black and white tile!

IMG_4513

The sunken spa tub was a necessity to unwind at the end of the day.  Isn’t it luxurious!

The pale blue on the walls as well as the ceiling sets the tone for that spa like feel!  And the black bullnose tile wraps completely around the space balancing nicely with the tile floor!  Love the rain shower head!  The crisp white subway tile surrounds the bathroom, and white grout was used to create a seamless feel!

IMG_4536

The curved shower curtain rod mimics the curves of the vanity!  Using a clear shower curtain really makes a difference!

IMG_4479

The vanity was painted white, and its circular shape is space saving!

IMG_4467The custom Carrera marble vanity top is spacious and oh so luxurious!

IMG_4497

The pedestal feet creates a bit of breathing room and allows the hexagon tile floor to continue its pattern!

IMG_4461This chic light fixture has just enough sparkle!

IMG_4470And this wall mounted towel rack does its job perfectly, and the chrome finish reflects all the fixtures in this space!

IMG_4508My clients are enjoying this space immensely!  I am thrilled to have helped create this oasis for them!  They are very deserving!!!

Enjoy the day!

P.S.  I would also like to say a big “thank you” to Kim at Savvy Southern Style!  As you know, I linked up to her “WOW Us Wednesday” post last week.  Over 200 entries were linked up!  I was delighted to find my Oyster Shell Lamps highlighted today on her blog!  Thank you again, Kim!!!

  • You did a great job! I love so many of the details, the blue paint, the gray grout and the tile itself with the black tiles, the white vanity and the marble top, greek key trim on the blinds, the chrome, the molding around the door. What a really lovely bath!
    Thanks, Patty

  • Which manufacturer offers the black hex floor trim pieces? I’ve contacted several local tile stores and none offer this combination.
    Thank you.

    • Hi Laura! Unfortunately, I do not remember the specific tile company. Are you referring to the bullnose black trim? It’s found at any tile supplier. Enjoy the day!
