My collection of moveable corks began in my 20’s thanks to Daddy! I was intrigued by their mobility, detail, and uniqueness…
Daddy has given me every one of these corks! They currently sit in a crystal ice bucket. Handyman Husband has been tinkering with ideas of how to display them! Any thoughts?
These corks are wooden (some with plastic parts), hand painted, and hand carved! They are from Germany or Switzerland. Each has a lever in the back that allows the piece to “move.” I have duplicates, but they are even different in detail or color. Only a couple of the corks do not move!
Some corks pick up a telephone, hold up a stop sign, couple’s kissing, smoking a cigar, or drinking! They are so fun! The kids love playing with them too!
Every now and then Daddy will find a new one! Once they’re appropriately displayed, I’ll be sure to show you!
Enjoy the day!

P.S. I realized I never posted our time with Bunny Williams last week from previous posts. If you’d like to see Bunny’s home, read about it here, here, and here!
What a wonderful collection I collect regular wine corks what are only special in that I like the way they look. I place them in empty wine bottles and display them on a wine rack that is in a spot not desirable to store real wine (too much sun) and it is so colorful and quite a conversation starter for those who come into the house.
It sounds like you have a fun collection of wine corks too Diane! And the bottles displayed must be beautiful in the sunlight! Thanks for sharing!
OMG! I have never seen anything like that. They are absolutely adorable, and to have a whole collection of them – how fabulous!! They must be a great conversation starter.

Thanks Patty! If you peruse antique malls, they’re usually inside the glass cases. They are fun and unique…glad you liked the collection!
