In Thanksgiving!

WOW, what a week!  I woke up at 3:45 a.m. this morning and took part in KTHV Channel 11’sDesigner Challenge,” and the experience was a true treat!  Although I didn’t win, the ladies were wonderful as well as the staff at Channel 11.  Thank you for including me!  And yesterday, Mother had knee replacement surgery and am glad to report is doing fabulous!  This post came to me as I was falling asleep last night…

What is Thanksgiving?  Well, for me, it seems it’s a day to be with family, eats lots of delicious food, and watch football.  But suddenly, I am seeing this holiday differently!  Although I am very thankful for my family and friends, there are a few people that come to mind this week!

I am thankful for Dr. Ken Martin, Mother’s orthopedic surgeon.  I have not met Dr. Martin, but I am singing his praises!!!  Prior to the surgery, he asked Mother, Daddy, and my brother, Christopher, (I had Daniel at home) to pray.  TO PRAY! He asked God to bless his hands, for Mother’s recovery and for there to be no pain, and he named every person BY NAME who would be in the operating room with him.  As Daddy, told me this story over the phone, he was crying with such admiration for Dr. Martin.  My priest, Father Nicholas Verdaris, was amazed and so grateful for God’s blessings.  Thank you Dr. Martin and Father Nicholas for your prayers!

I am thankful for Joe Chacko, a friend, fellow parishioner, and our financial advisor.  Joe PRAYS each and every morning to make the best financial choices for his clients.  Thank you Joe!

I am thankful for Mary Wildgen, friend, neighbor, and client.  Mary tag teamed with Handyman Husband this morning, so he could go to work while I was at Channel 11.  Thank you Mary for always exemplifying a positive, PRAYERFUL, and grateful attitude!

I am thankful for Chris H. Olsen and Renee’ Valdov, CMO for Botanica Gardens and Chris H. Olsen.  Thank you for your support, for opening doors, and your positive and delightful attitudes.  I admire Chris’s bracelet “LET GO AND LET GOD!”

I am seeing a common denominator here…PRAYER!  I pray that you and yours have a very Happy Thanksgiving!  These people mentioned are just a few that remind me daily of prayer, thanksgiving, and to be mindful of others!!!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING AND ENJOY THE DAY!
