Fair Hope

Have you ever dreamt of moving to a quaint town filled with nostalgia, glorious homes, wonderful shops, and fabulous food?  And this town would also be on the water too!  Well, I have, and my dream town is Fair Hope, Alabama.  Dear friends, Beth and Kay, first introduced me to this wonderful town several years ago during a beach vacation.  I was spell bound!  Each year thereafter, I returned to this precious town.  So this year, we left a day early to spend the night, relax, and shop…

IMG_7344My favorite antique store!

IMG_7345My very first trip I purchased a sweet pink wicker rocker for Elizabeth, and a pair of mirrors from this store!  The rocker is still used today, and the mirrors (formally housed in the Grand Hotel) are in our bedroom.  They were rescued after a hurricane!

IMG_7350I adore all of the containers, and the bricked sidewalks and streets too!  Gorgeous hanging baskets adorn the streets as well (I can’t believe I didn’t take pictures)!

IMG_7346The architecture varies!

IMG_7359How amazing is this residential street!  During the evening, the kiddos and I drove around admiring!  Handyman Husband took a much deserved nap after leaving at 5:00 am, driving 8 1/2 hours, and literally hitting the pavement to the shops!

IMG_7357I snapped a few pictures while driving around!

  • After seeing your post about Fairhope, my husband and I took a trip there to celebrate my 50th birthday and also our 31st anniversary. We fell in love with the town and the people. Thanks so much for sharing your adventures.
