A few weeks ago, the kids took part in a “cement memory!” Something that I still remember doing as a child! We live on a corner lot, and a large truck of some sort backed up over the concrete curb and pretty much broke the concrete in half. Not so safe for kids! Handyman Husband called the city, and they were out in a couple of days. “Ding Ding Ding” the lightbulb went off…
And as you can see, the “cement memory” was created! The men were super duper nice and were happy to oblige! I checked Elizabeth out of school to do this!
Daniel thought this was so cool!
So fun!
And here it is after I added their initials and year (I wasn’t supposed to do this, but I snuck out and did it)! By the way, do you see anything wrong with this picture?
HH asked if it was 2014 already? I guess I did! I laughed and laughed!
Elizabeth has a “cement memory” at YiaYia and Granddaddy’s house. And here I am again laughing…check out the date…6-20-08! Ironic as I’m writing this post today of all days!!!
While I was in Dallas in March at the Blissdom Conference, I took a picture of my own “cement memory” that’s in front of my childhood home. I can’t make out the year, can you? It’s fun to see memories being passed down generation to generation!
What memories have you been making?
Enjoy the day!
